7:30PM: Concert.

Enter a musical world inspired by the natural forces around us.

Featuring Chicago-based duo maeve & quinn (maeveandquinn.com) who draw from indie pop, jazz/improv, classical, and Irish traditional music. Their work moraine speaks to a natural phenomenon formed through the movement of a glacier.

With Every Gust of Wind: Four Haiku by composer DJ Sparr sets four poems by Matsuo Basho and features tenor Corbin DeSpain.

Thaw by Chicago-based composer Roger Zare is inspired by the transition of winter to spring as warmth and life returns.

Leaf Catalogue by Katherine Balch “is an ode to all the tiny little netted veins, the malachite spines and splintery emerald epidermi, the viridian curves and fern-green webs turned to sea-foam in the sun.”
